After the forced stop in 2020 due to the Covid emergency, the third edition of the Adriatica Ionica Race kicks off today. An edition that has had to deal with a new shift and overlaps with the national championships in many countries, which is why the tour has been reduced to 3 stages and the parterre sees only one world tour team at the start, However, there is no shortage of interesting names, especially of young riders with a certain future.
Today’s stage will take place between ups and downs from Trieste to Aviano, tomorrow rders will face the legendary Monte Grappa in the Veneto region , and the Romagna dirt roads leading to Ravenna will close the challenge.
In addition to the all leader jerseys, which GSG has produced for AIR in all editions, the youth team of Team Novo Nordisk Devo will also wear GSG and will bring the new blue-emerald green livery to Italian roads.
Who will win this year and wear the blue-red jersey, succeeding the winner Mark Padun in 2019 (in the picture also Remco Evenepoel – winner of 3rd stage)
