Sunday the Italian Danilo Napolitano – Wanty-Groupe Gobert GSG team – won the 50th Omloop van het Waasland.

The race between Lokeren and Stekene over 192km started well for the Wanty Gobert-boys, with Frederik Veuchelen in the breakaway of the day.

A few laps before the end the bunch came back and the classical sprint in Stekene was won by the quickest man in the peloton, Danilo Napolitano!
