Anna Van Der Breggen,  the Olympic and European Champion, is the overall winner of the 2017 edition of GIRO ROSA. making the “double” since her 2015 triumph, when she wore GSG colors with Raboliv Team.

Elisa Longo Borghini and Annemiek Van Vleuten (winner of the Green and Cyclamine Jersey), tried an attack on the climb of Vesuvio but it has been useless. The three athletes have been reached by the chasing group on the following descend to Torre del Greco, and Megan Guarnier (1st), Amanda Spratt (2nd) and Katarzyna Niewiadoma (3rd) took the final stage podium.

Elisa Longo Borghini won the Blue Jersey as best Italian (2nd overall), the Danish Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig is the best young (White Jersey) and Annemiek Van Vleuten (3rd place in the GC and stage winner in Montereale Valcellina and Sant’Elpidio a Mare) won the Green and Cyclamine Jersey. Kasia Niewiadoma   closed Giro with a good 6th in the Overall.
